Crime of the future - biometric spoofing
Crime of the future - biometric spoofing: "
Fingerprints are known to be a weak identification mechanism. I will try and find the article that dumps on fingerprints and explains why they won't work long term. If I remember, the thesis is that nothing that is constant or can't be changed if needed works very well. This is because of the fingerprint gets lifted or stolen or hacked, you are comprimised forever. You can't change your fingerprint-based identity. This is also true of voice recognition. Biometrics probably won't work as protection in the future.
Watch where you leave your fingerprints - soon they could be the target of thieves looking to break into your bank account."
